Mountain Festival Celebrates Appalachian Lifestyle

Protecting and preserving mountain history through a heritage themed festival. A full day celebration of traditional mountain craft, food, and entertainment. Demonstrations of Appalachian life skills & crafts, storytelling, mountain music & clogging, home-style food vendors. 10am–5pm Main Street.

Don't miss the opportunity to see how things have been crafted by Appalachian folks for generations. These skills have been passed down for generations and are now going to be demonstrated during this one-of-a-kind event. In addition, there will be a Civil War Commemorative Weekend filled with demonstrations of musket firing and war tactics, as well as lectures on the skirmish here in Waynesville, North Carolina. Do you know why Waynesville is considered historic? Come for an event-filled weekend and find out!

While you are here for the festivities, be sure to check out for a great place to stay. We only have two rooms left for the weekend of June 8th and 9th, so hurry!

Come for the scenery, stay for the Appalachian celebration!
